Where Does the Cotton Come From?Updated 6 days ago
As you know, France does not produce cotton.
Cotton is a 100% natural fiber… but it doesn’t grow here ! It needs lots of sun and water, so it’s mainly grown in India, Africa, Central Asia, or the Americas.
Once harvested, the raw cotton is sent to spinning mills, often located in or near the producing countries. There, it’s transformed into yarn, ready to be used in textile manufacturing.
From that point on, everything else happens in France. The spun cotton arrives at our workshops, where it is woven, dyed, sewn, and finished by skilled French textile professionals. This not only supports the local industry but also ensures controlled quality at every stage and full traceability of production. Each final product combines a natural material sourced from afar with French craftsmanship, resulting in durable and reliable items. You know exactly where your garment comes from and who made it.
In summary :
- Cotton is born under the sun ☀️
- But it grows and takes shape here, in France ✂️
Le Slip Français places real importance on the manufacturing of its products, their comfort, and softness, all while respecting ethical values that matter to us.
